This is from the collection of the late Ora Ward Manning, mother of Peggy Rockett. Lavelle Futch died in September 1989. Lavelle Futch Holly Ridge- Services for Lavelle L. Futch, 76, of Holly Ridge will be at 3 p.m. today at the Bethel Baptist Church, with the Revs. Charles Chapman and Larry Russell officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Brown Whitaker Funeral Home of Rayville. Mr. Futch died Sunday at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was a retired farmer and member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Mae Futch of Holly Ridge; two daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Hicks of Rayville, and Mrs. Delores Traweek of Monroe; five brothers, A.P. Futch of Holly Ridge, R.E. Futch of Monroe, J.V. Futch of West Monroe, Clayton Futch of Homer, and Perry Futch of Mandeville; one sister Mrs. Verdie Williamson of Monroe; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tommy Thompson, Alton Donald, I.L. "Bootsie" Thompson, Terry Thompson, Bobby Thompson, and Garland Nicholson. # # #
