                    Mrs. Wilma Upshaw Springer

Bossier City, La. - Graveside services for Mrs. Wilma Upshaw Springer, 72, 
will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 1989 at Hill Crest Memorial 
Park. Officiating will be the Rev. Randy Harper associate pastor of First 
Baptist Church of Bossier.
Mrs. Springer died Monday, December the 18 1989 at Schumpert Medical Center 
following a lengthy illness. She was born in Spearsville, La. and has been a 
Bossier City resident for 49 years. Mrs. Springer was a housewife and a 
Baptist.
She is survived by one son Cecil Lee Upshaw, Jr., former Atlanta Braves 
baseball player of Lawrenceville, Georgia, one brother; John Edward Boatright; 
four grandchildren, Carol Upshaw McDaniel, of Augusta, Ga., Cecil Lee Upshaw 
III, of Reidsville, Ga., Del Hamilton Upshaw of Lithonia, Ga., and Amelia 
Louise Upshaw of Lithonia, Ga.
