Mr. Walter E. Woods

Services for Mr. Walter E. Woods, 78 of Bernice, were held at 2 p.m. 
Monday, December 4, at the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Bernice with 
the Rev. Steve Rowe officiating. Interment followed in Pine Grove Cemetery 
in Bernice under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Mr. Woods died 
Sunday, December 3, at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home in Bernice after a short 
illness.
A native of Kosciusko, Mississippi, he was a member of Pisgah Baptist 
Church a was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myra Woods of Bernice, one son, James 
Woods of Brazoria, Texas; two daughters, Melba Moore of Lafayette and Mary W. 
Johnson of DeBerry, Texas; one brother, E.J.Woods of Bernice, one sister, 
Ruby Young of West Monroe; and four grandchildren
