This is from the collection of Peggy Rockett Mr. Burl Compton Services for Mr. Burl Compton, 39 of Farmerville, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville with the Rev. Charles Henderson officiating. Burial followed in Pearson Cemetery near Farmerville under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of FarmervilIe. Mr. Compton died Tuesday, April 24, at his residence after a lengthy illness. Burl recently returned to Farmerville from Atlanta, Georgia where he was employed as an artist and Country Gospel Singer and Song Writer. Survivors include his parents, M.E. (Bug) and Edith Christine Compton of Farmerville; one sister and brother-in-law. Imogene and Aurangzeb Khan of Farmerville; two nephews, Scott and Dallas Simpson, both of Bernice; one great nephew, Channing Simpson; one great niece, Grace Simpson, both of Bernice. Pallbearers were Mark C. Sessions, Keith J. Breaux. Rodney Free, Gary Collier, Bill Cline and Tom Hartzog. # # #
