This is from the collection of Peggy Rockett Mrs. Lois F. Gardner Services for Mrs. Lois F. Gardner, 67 of Spearsville, were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Hall and the Rev. Paul Sullivan officiating. Burial followed in Canaan Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mrs. Gardner died Monday, July 30, at the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock after a lengthy illness. A resident of Union Parish for the past 36 years, she was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where she was church pianist for a number of years. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Roy Gardner, Jr., former pastor of Beulah Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Roger Wayne Frisch of Jackson, Louisiana and Roy Gardner, III of Spearsville; two daughters, Joan Manning of Hamburg and Judy Powell of Little Rock; one sister, Ruth Latz of San Antonio; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were Percy Wade Jr., David Thomas, Ricky Hayes, Carl Taylor, Buddy Elliott, Chuck Kinnison. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Smith, Pat Risinger and Gary Johnson. # # #
