Pardue, Sr. Services for Mr. Hershel E. Pardue, Sr., 75 of Downsville, were held at 3 pm Thursday, June 21 at Holmesville Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Whitman and Woody Bagwell officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mr. Pardue died Tuesday, June 19, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was a lifelong resident of Lincoln Parish, member of Holmsville Baptist church and a retired carpenter and farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Leola Pardu of Downsville; one son and daughter- in-law, H.E. (Butch) and Elaine Pardue of Downsville; one daughter and son-in- law, Lou and Billy King of Downsville; four grandchildren, Shannon Pardue and wife Rachette, Troy Pardue, Angelia King and Amanda King; one brother, W.M. Pardue of Shreveport; five sisters, Louise Cox and Ethel David, both of Homer; Dorothy Hester of Downsville, Edna Jones of Shreveport and Edwena Clement of Conroe, TX. Pallbearers were Kenny Bowen, Randy Harvey, Bob Riser, Jack Jennings, Moot Canterbury, Jack Hamilton, Jim Bob McCrary and Bo Cox. Honorary pallbearers were Willis Colvin, Ralph Provost and Carl Jennings. # # #
