		Elder John Lee Smith

Spearsville, La - Services for Elder John Lee Smith, 89, Spearsville, La., 
will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 4, 1990 at the New Hope Primitive 
Baptist Church with Elder Graydon Smith officiating. Burial will be in the 
Spearsville Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Elder Smith died September 1, 1990 at the Farmerville Louisiana Hospital.
He was born on March 27, 1901 in Spearsville, La., the son of Woody K. and 
Mary Rebecca Barron Smith. He was a lifelong resident of Spearsville, La., 
and a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church where he was a minister for 
over 40 years.
Survivors include: Delma W. Smith of Spearsville, La.; Vernon D. Smith of 
Sheridan, AR, Lyle M. Smith of Pine Bluff, AR, d Carl A. Smith of St. Louis, 
Missouri; and Winford Smith of Honolulu, Hawaii; 1 sister, Irene Rising of 
Ruston; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
The Family will be at the Smith residence at Rt. 2, Box 82, Spearsville, La.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the Bailey Funeral Home in 
Junction City.
