This is from the collection of Peggy Rockett. Mr. Sam J. Tubbs, Jr. Services for Mr. Sam J. Tubbs, Jr., 58, Monroe, will be at 11 A.M., Saturday, February 3, 1990, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel on Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Dr. Clifton Tennison and Rev. David Randol officiating. Burial will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park. Mr. Tubbs died Thursday, February 1, 1990 at St. Francis Medical Center after a brief illness. Mr. Tubbs was a member of the First Baptist Church in West Monroe. He was a resident of Monroe for over 25 years. Mr. Tubbs was a retired Sales Representative for Edward Don and Company Restaurant's Supplies. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps. as a Staff Sergeant and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife: Charlene Holloway Tubbs, Monroe; four sons, Keith Tubbs, Baton Rouge; Mark Tubbs, Pensacola, FL; Paul and Ken Tubbs, Houston, TX; four daughters, Cindy Tubbs Jones, Houston, TX; Carlene Ernst Rogers and Joyce Ernst Guy, both of Monroe; Anita Ernst Randol, Columbus, GA; fourteen grandchildren; mother, Chloe Tubbs; brother, Bob Tubbs, both of Bernice; three sisters, Mary Burner, Oklahoma City, OK; Karen Miller, Jackson Hole, WY; and Libby Delyser, Carson City, NV. Pallbearers will be Robby Nutt, C.D. Holloway, Bobby Trailkill, James G. Daniels, Barney Tucker and Ralph Reed. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. this evening at the funeral home. # # #
