Ward Service for Mrs. Muriel Kathleen Ward, 77, of Farmerville, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Farmerville with the Rev. Walter A. Brown officiating. Interment followed in Wards Chapel Cemetery in Farmerville under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mrs. Ward died Friday, June 14, at Union General Hospital in Farmerville after a short illness. A native of Oakland, she was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Farmerville and was a retired practical nurse and seamstress. Survivors include one son, Bobby Ward of Bastrop, one daughter, Brenda Prumphrey of Bernice; one brother, J. D. Brasher of Monroe; two sisters, Opal Silmon of Farmerville, and Mildred Haile of Monroe; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Melvin Silmon, Jim Brasher, David Hodges, Philip Hughes, Stanley Edwards, and Milton Hill. # # #
