Joseph E. Bryan

Services for Mr. Joseph Ethridge Bryan, 80, of Spearsville, were held at 4:00, 
Wednesday, July 8, 1992, at Spearsville Baptist Church, with Rev. Kenneth Everette, 
Rev. Charles Upshaw and Rev. Leroy Jones offficiating. Burial followed in the 
Spearsville Cemetery, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mr. Bryan died Monday, July 6, 1992, at Union General Hospital after a lengthy 
illness. He was a life long resident of Union Parish, member of Spearsville Baptist 
Church and a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Rockett Bryan of Spearsville; two sons, Bobby Bryan 
of El Dorado and Barry Bryan of Spearsville; two daughters, Betty Gardner of Spearsville 
and Ann Barham of Farmerville; a brother, Odis Bryan of Slidell; two sisters, Lucille 
Neal and Marcelle Hollis both of Spearsville; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great 
grandchildren.
Grandsons, Bobby Bryan, Jr., Michael Bryan, Joe Bryan, Todd Self, Scott Self and Michael 
Reeves served as pallbearers.
