This is from the collection of the late Ora Ward Manning, mother of Peggy Rockett. VARNA BARRON Services for Mr. Varna C. Barron, 81 of Farmerville, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday October 12, 1993, at Farmerville United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Laran Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Mr. Barron died Monday October 11, at Union General Hospital following a sudden illness. He was a lifelong resident of Union Parish, a member of Farmerville United Methodist Church, a member of Methodist Men's organizations and an employee of Builder's Supply. Survivors include his wife, Janet Barron of Farmerville; a son Rex Barron of Shreveport; three step children, Douglas Slaughter, and Doris Wilson both of ElDorado, and Janice New of Perris, Calif.; two brothers, Clyde Barron of Spearsville and Otto Barron of Minden. Pallbearers were Paul Mitchum, Ronald Roster, Donald Foster, Jerry Barron, Greg Barron, Joseph Barron, and Scott Barron. Honorary pallbearers were the Farmerville United Methodist Church Men's Sunday School Class. # # #
