This is from the collection of Peggy Rockett. Chester Purvis Holloway Died at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, June 6, 1993, at Regency Place Nursing Home in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a native and until recently a lifelong resident of the West Monroe area. He was a member of the Highland Baptist Church and a former member of the Ouachita Parish School Board. Visiting at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA from 5:30 to 8:30 on Tuesday, June 8. Religious services to be held at Highland Baptist church at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9, conducted by the Reverend Ralph Jones and Reverend Gordon "Skip" Dean. Burial will follow at Twin Cities Memorial Gardens in West Monroe. Survived by wife, Delma L. Hobbs Holloway, one daughter, Ruth H. Mitchell; four sons, Marshall R., Carl P., James E., and William T. Holloway; 25 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Survivors also include brothers, Ira Holloway, Webb Holloway; sisters Lela Beuchey, Clara Bledsoe; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents William T. and Emma Brown Holloway, two brothers and one sister. # # #
