"WIT" ODOM Services for Wilford Edward "Wit" Odom, 89 of Laran were held Oct 22, 1993 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Laran, with his great-nephew, Dr. Connie Ward; Rev. Ricky Donohoe and Bro. Ernest McAdams officiating. Burial followed in Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mr.Odom, born March 3, 1904 in Famerville, went home to be with the Lord on October 20 in Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston. He was a life-long resident of Union Parish, a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, a retired school bus driver and maintenance man for the Union Parish School Board and a farmer. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 65 years, Willie Belle Odom; sons and daughters-in-law, James Delwyn and Dortha Jo Odom of Bernice, and Jesse Reed an Judy Odom of St. Louis; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Alice and Murry Dudley of Bossier City; six grandchildren, Janice O. Savage, and Pamela O. Matlock both of Famerville, Doug Odom and Donna O. Hogan, both of St. Louis, Roger Dudley of Spearsville, and Rena Dudley of Bossier City; five great grandchildren, Amy Savage, Greg Hicks, Ashley Hogan, Brittany Hogan and Zack O. Dudley; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Lucien Savage, Roger Dudley, Dan Hogan, Terry Hicks, Greg Hicks, and Phil Jones. # # #
