This is from the collection of Peggy Rockett. Mrs. Eunice W. Skains Services for Eunice Watson Skains, 66 of Farmerville, were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 1993, at Mt. Ararat Baptist church, with the Rev. Avoid LaBeff officiating. Burial followed in the Church under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Mrs. Skains died Friday, February 26, following a lengthy illness. She was a lifelong resident of Union Parish and a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Spearsville. Mrs. Skains was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Watson. Survivors include her husband, E.W. Skains of Farmerville; two sons, Billy Skains and wife Mary of Downsville and Rex Skains of Farmerville; a daughter, Debbie Rodgers and husband Henry of Farmerville; six brothers, Chester Watson, Merle Watson, and Dale Watson of West Monroe, Roy Pylant of Dennison, Tx., Herbert Pylant of Bernice, and Doyle Pylant of Lafayettte; four sisters, Betty smith and Peggy Whitlock of West Monroe, Lisa Watson of Sweetwater, Al., and Gayle Watson of Hammond; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Steve Brantley, Stan Bearden, Mike Nolan, Fred Rodgers, M. L. Graham and Lance Harris. # # #
