This is from the collection of the late Ora Ward Manning, mother of Peggy Rockett. Mrs. Watson died 11 Feb 1993. Mrs. Nonie Watson Services for Nonie Watson, 80 of Spearsville, were held at 2:00, Saturday, February 13, 1993, at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. O.J. Owens and Rev. Forrest Post officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Famerville. Mrs. Watson died Thursday February 11, at Union General Hospital after a lengthy illness, She was a life long resident of Union Parish, a member of Mt. Union Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include six daughters and sons-in-law, Junette and Billie Adcock, Gertrude and W.A. LaBeff, Nila Gay and Franklin Beaird, all of Spearsville, Nita and M.L. Graham and Lou Quincy and Oral Kennedy all of Farmerville, Melba Rigdon Smith and Vance Smith of Eldorado, Ark.; a sister Nina Hebron of Jackson, MS, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were tom Elkins, Bobby Elkins, Paul Beaird, Roy Williams, Elvin Graham, Sherwood Graham, Hez Elkins, and Vernon Lee. # # #
