"Bob" Compton, 70, of West Monroe, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 23, 1994, at Kilpatrick's West Monroe Chapel with Rev. Ralph Jones and Rev. Skip Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Twin cities Memorial Gardens. Mr. Compton died Thursday, July 21, 1994 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. Mr. Compton was a lifetime resident of West Monroe. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during WWII. He was the owner of Compton's Lift Truck Service. He was a charter member of Highland Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Elese Rockett Compton; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Antley and husband Don, and Mary Lou Harrison and husband Bill; grandchildren, Angela Williams, Jarrod Antley, Robert Antley, Amanda Harrison, Jeffery Harrison, and Lori Harrison; great grandchild, Jennifer Williams; Brothers, Mose P. Compton, Jr., and Marshall G. Compton; sisters, Estelle Reeves and Nell Brulte. Nephews will serve as pallbearers; Gary Compton, Jimmy Brulte, David Reeves, Kenny Compton, Danny Compton, and Todd Rockett. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Bob Brulte, Jerry Cross, Tommy Rockett, Edward Rockett, Gene Rockett, Norman Rockett, and Tim William. Visitation will be 9 AM until service time. # # #
