She was 89, a native of Union Parish, a resident of Weyanoke and a former longtime resident of Spearsville. Arrangements are incomplete at Farar Funeral Home Inc., P. O. Box 705, Farmerville, LA, 71241. Survived by four daughters, Sybil French, Oak Grove, Shirley Resor, Woodville, Miss., Sylvia Choat, Farmerville, and Peggy Wilson, Weyanoke; a son, Alvin McAdams, Magnolia, Ark.; a sister, Edna Drosche, Marlin Texas; 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Hosea McAdams; two brothers Horace McGarrity and Carroll McGarrity; and a sister, Nan Davis. McADAMS Services for Mrs. Mary E. (Aunt Mae) McAdams, 89 of Spearsville, were held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 24, 1994 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Waymond Warren and Rev. Forrest Post officiating. Burial followed at Canaan Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Mrs. McAdams died Friday, April 22 at West Feliciana Parish Hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Union Parish and a resident of West Feliciana Parish for the past nine years; a member of Tunica Hills Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include a son, Alvin McAdams of Magnolia, Arkansas; four daughters, Sibyl French of Oak Grove, Shirley Resor of Woodville, Mississippi, Sylvia Choat of Farmerville and Peggy Wilson of Weyanoke, Louisiana; a sister, Edna Droshe of Marlin Texas; 25 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers. NOTE: Mary Elizabeth McGarity was born 7/9/1904 in Union Co., AR and died 4/22/1994 in Baton Rouge, LA. She married Hosea T. McAdams 12/7/1919 in Union Co., AR. # # #
