This is from the collection of Peggy Rockett. Raymond C. Nash Services for Raymond Clyde Nash, 95, of Spearsville, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 1994 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with the Revs. Jesse Foster and Steve Sallis officiating. Burial followed at Laran Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville. Mr. Nash died Sunday, August 28, 1994 at Union General Hospital in Farmerville after a lengthy illness. A lifelong resident of Union Parish, he was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist church and a retired school bus driver. Mr. Nash was preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Moton Nash. Survivors include two sons, Raymond C. Nash, Jr. and wife Betty of Hot Springs, and Pete Nash and wife Opal of Mansfield; two daughters, Bonnie Ree Arnold of Baton Rouge, and Marvelene Whiting of Arlington, Virginia; two sisters, Mardell Beck of Benton, Arkansas and Maudine Murray of Little Rock; 13 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mike Nash, David Nash, Ricky White, Kris White, Stan Arnold, and Randy Helouin. # # #
