M. C. McGaha officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Bernice. Miss Phillips died Monday, November 8, 1993 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop, LA following a lengthy illness. She was a member of Stone Ave. Methodist Church in Monroe . She was a member of the Dixie Eastern Star in Union Parish for over 50 years. She was a former native of Bernice and longtime resident of Bernice .She was preceded in death by her parents, John Elisha Phillips and Alma A. Harper Phillips, sister, Gladys Stewart and two brothers Otho and Grady Phillips. Survivors include her sister-in-law: Jewel Porter Phillips of Smackover, Arkansas, three nieces: Hilda Teer of Homer, LA Annie M. Pearson of Homer LA, nd Mary Nelson of Minooa, IL: four nephews: Herbert Phillips of Homer,LA., James Phillips of Smackover, AR., Roy Philips of Minden, LA and Martin Phillips of Minden LA. Pallbearers will be Herbert Phillips, James Phillips, Roy Phillips, Danny Phillips, Tommy Pearson and Frank Pearson. Miss Annie Maude Phillips was my aunt. She never married. She lived in Bernice and worked in department store there until she moved with her Mother and brother to Sterlington and went to work in Monroe. She was known in Bernice by everyone as "Miss Maude" . # # #
