Risinger Services for Mr. Elvis Dixon Risinger, 74 of Spearsville, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 1994 at Antioch Church of Christ with Billy Bennett, Scott Gage, Wayne Fussell, Billy Dickinson, and Billy Oten officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mr. Risinger died Thursday, April 14 at Tri-Ward Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a lifelong resident of Union Parish, an U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, a member of the Church of Christ, a farmer and a carpenter. Mr. Risinger was preceded in death by his parents, John Frank and Lillie Risinger. Survivors include his wife, Mary Terral Risinger of Spearsville; two sons, Mike Risinger and wife Kay of Truxno, Pat Risinger and wife Jan of Spearsville; three daughters, Karen Trull and husband Larry of Spearsville, Jane Johnson and husband Scott of Turkey, Texas, and Ginger Risinger; two brothers, Elgie Risinger and Jake Risinger both of ElDorado; 12 grandchildren, Todd Risinger, Scott Risinger, Jamie Risinger, John Risinger, Brad Risinger, Chad Johnson, Jason Johnson, Bryan Trull, Rhonda Martin, Nicole Risinger, Jana Johnson, and Mandy Nesbit, nine great granddaughters. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Granddaughters Dr. W. C. Reeves and Dr. Ben Quinny served as honorary pallbearers. # # #
