This is from the collection of Peggy Rockett. Mr. Taylor died in 1995. Alvin Taylor Services for Alvin "Al" Taylor, 63, of Collinsville, Ill., died Tuesday, April 25, in Maryville, Ill. He was born May 19, 1931 in Spearsville, LA, the son of Armon R. Taylor and Beulah Black Taylor. He was employed by Morgan Systems of St. Louis, Mo., for more than 40 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, a Methodist and had been a resident of Collinsville since 1953. He was preceded in death by a sister, Opal Bush. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn H. Taylor; a son Russell L. Taylor of Collinsville; a daughter Deborah Rheinecker of Waterloo, Ill; two brothers, Wesley Taylor of Mira Loma, Calif., and Beuford E. Taylor of Spearsville, La., three sisters, Ollie Ruth Pratt of Junction City, Sallie Lou Chatham of Chatham, La., and Ethelle Colvin of Spearsville, La.; and two grandchildren. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Beech Grove Methodist Church in Spearsville with the Rev. Lester Pratt officiating. Burial followed in Beech Grove Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. # # #
