This is from the collection of Peggy Rockett. Mr. Jinks Graveside services for Mr. Herbert H. Jinks, 70, Farmerville, LA were held Friday April 5, at Mt. Union Baptist Church near Farmerville with Rev. Billy Smith assisted by a representative of the U.S. Military. Arrangements under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Mr. Jinks died Wednesday April 3, 1996 at Union General Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a resident of Union Parish for the last 6 years; veteran of WWII; member of the Baptist Faith and a retired fireman. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eletta Jinks, Farmerville; eight sons, Herbert Lynn Jinks, Omaha, Tex., Ronnie Jinks, Tex., Stephen Jinks, Tex., James W. Aulds, Jr. Houston, Tex., Robert Aulds, Sr., Bastrop, LA, Billy Ray Aulds, St. Paul, MN, Bryon Aulds, Houston, Tex., Leslie H. Jinks, Shreveport, LA; three daughters, Wanda Sue Jinks, Tex., Kathryn Jinks, Tex., Patricia Wright, Amite, LA; three sisters, Verna Pettis, Bastrop, LA, Annice McDougal, Bastrop, LA, Ernestine Harper, Bastrop, LA; 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren. # # #
