CELESTINE JOINER ADKINS

Funeral services for Celestine Joiner Adkins, 71, were held Saturday, July 18, 1998 
at Sardis Baptist Church in Farmerville with Bro. Richard Shreve officiating. Burial 
was held in the church cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of 
Farmerville, LA.

Mrs. Adkins, a homemaker and retired florist died on Thursday, July 16, 1998 at 
Glenwood Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband, Irving "Pete" Adkins of Farmerville; a son and 
daughterin-law, Dean and Kay Adkins of Downsville; a son, Joe Adkins of Farmerville; 
a grandson and wife, Phillip and Kim Adkins of Heflin; a granddaughter, Courtney Adkins 
of Lafayette; and four sisters: Eddie Monsour of Meridian, Mississippi; Winona Rinesmith 
of Lakeland, Florida and her husband Paul; Betty Jones of Farmerville and her husband 
Raymond; and Linda Risinger of Lockhart and her husband Gerald. Also surviving are 
numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and a special friend of the 
family, Paula Clay.
