Sherman Allen

Services for Sherman Allen, age 81, of Marion, were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 
1, 1998, at the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville with the Revs. David 
Martin and Bubba Hoggatt officiating. 

Interment followed in Roark Cemetery in Marion under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home of Farmerville.

Mr. Allen died on Friday, October 30, 1998, at North Monroe Hospital in Monroe after a 
brief illness.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Allen of Marion; two brothers, Sam Eldridge of Bastrop 
and David Eldridge of Monroe; two sisters; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Dan Stinson, Glen Smith, Larry Jones, Harry Maroney, Buddy Maroney and 
John D. Taylor.
