George L. Aulds Services for George Laython Aulds, age 80 of Monroe, were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 1998, at Kilpatrick's Chapel on Lamy Lane in Monroe with Bros. Don DeLukie and John Traylor officiating. Interment followed in Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in Spearsville under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mr. Aulds died on Sunday, November 8, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. A member of Jackson Street Church of Christ where he was Director of the Young at Heart Senior Group, Mr. Aulds was a veteran of World War II, serving as a Sergeant Major with the United States Army. He was retired as a Supervisor with Howard Brothers and had also worked at Commercial Solvents in Sterlington. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Oneak Hunt Aulds; a son, George Wayne Aulds; and a brother, Jimmy Aulds. Survivors include his wife, Reita Bayles Aulds of Monroe; his son, Glenn Aulds and wife Lanora of Marion; grandson, Tony Wayne Aulds of Monroe; and a brother, Joe B. "Dick" Aulds and wife Christine of Camp Creek. Pallbearers were Van Breedlove, Larry White, Jim Fuller, Carl Bigelow, Bob Harrell and Russell Stayton. # # # Honorary pallbearers; were Raymond Hughes and A.J..Garvan.
