CLYDE LAMAR "BO" BARRETT Funeral services for Clyde Lamar "Bo" Barrett, 84, of Bernice, LA were held Friday, May 1, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at Pisgah Baptist Church in Bernice, LA with Dr A.W. Smart and Rev. Coy Upshaw officiating. Burial was held in Pisgah Cemetery, Bernice, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR Born April 8, 1914, in Bernice LA, the son of Charlie Willis and Mary Hannah Kelley Barrett. He owned the Bernice Department Store before retiring in 1979 and was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church. A U.S. Army Veteran of World War II he was a Corporal and served in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland", and Central Europe and in the Battle of the Bulge. He received World War II Victory Medal, AntiTank Operations Medal, EAMATO Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Distinguished Unit Badge. Mr. Barrett died Tuesday, April 28,1998, in Schumpert Medical Center, Shreveport, LA following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Maxine Grafton Barrett and an infant son and by one brother, Presley Barrett. Survivors include one nephew: Wayne Barrett of Junction City, AR; one niece: Diane B. Colvin and her husband, "Ducky" of Bernice, LA;. 2 great nephews: Jeff Colvin and his wife, Rachel of Ruston, LA and Jason Colvin and his wife, Sara, of Bernice, LA; one great-niece: Deanna Colvin Malone and her husband, Allen of Biloxi, MS; 1 great-great nephew and 4 great-great nieces. Pallbearers for Mr. "Bo" Barrett were: Ronnie Barrett, Steve Barrett, Stephen Kelley, Billy McIntosh, Eddie Paul Evans and Wallace Grafton. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Barrett, Dr. Ciaravella, Dr. Caskey, Dr. Borne, Dr. Holladay and the nursing staff and technician staff on the second floor of the Schumpert Medical Center for their care and love given to Mr. Barrett during his illness and to the family. # # #
