Taylor G. Bayles A Memorial Service for Taylor Gray Bayles, age 62 of Gresham, Oregon, was held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 1999, at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Downsville with the Rev. Floyd Pate and Rev. Eddie Martin officiating. Mr. Bayles died on Thursday, March 18, 1999, in Bellingham, Washington, after a brief illness. A native of Union Parish, he attended Farmerville and Downsville high schools before enlisting in the United States Navy. After serving 22 years on nuclear submarines and in the Atlantic and Pacific nuclear submarine headquarters command, he retired as Chief Yeoman. Survivors include his wife, Genevieve Bayles; son, Carey Gray Bayles of Bellingham, Washington; daughter, Kristin Lynn Buendicho of Guam; five grandchildren; a brother, C.C. Bayles, Jr. of Downsville; two sisters, Maloyce Campbell of Downsville and Annie Jean Pylant of Lafayette; three step-sons one step-daughter; and numerous other relatives and friends. # # #
