James E. Beck Services for James E. Beck, age 69 of Farmerville, were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dalyn Helbling officiating. Interment followed in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in El Dorado under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado. Mr. Beck died on Saturday, May 30, 1998, at All Saint Hospital in Ft. Worth following a brief illness. A native of Pittsburgh, he was the owner of Shimco Floral Crafts and Gifts and a member of the First Church of God. He had served in the U.S. Coast Guard and Merchant Marines during World War 11, receiving the Atlantic War Zone Medal, Mediterranean Middle East War Zone Medal and Pacific War Zone Medal. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann Beck of Farmerville; two. sons, Bruce Beck and Chris Beck, both of El Dorado; one, daughter, Joyce B. Nesbit of El Dorado; two brothers, Robert E. Beck of Granbury, Texas and Charles Beck of Burnsville, Minnesota; one sister, Alberta McCartney of Windham, Ohio; and five grandchildren. # # #
