RAYMOND "RAY" ABERCROMBIE

        Funeral Services for Raymond "Ray" Abercrombie, 55, of Bernice, LA were held at 2 PM 
Tuesday, August 3,1999 at Evergreen Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Bryant and Rev. Francis Smith 
officiating. Burial was held in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home of Famerville. 
        Mr. Abercrombie died Saturday July 31, 1999, in Ruston, LA. 
He was a member and Sunday School Director at Evergreen Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter: Donna Jones of Tulsa, OK; mother; Mildred Abercrombie of 
Bernice, LA.; sister: Brenda McCorkle of Bastrop, TX; five brothers; Wayne Abercrombie and wife 
Ellen of Mooresville, NC, Robert Abercrombie and wife Birtie of Truxno, Danny Abercrombie and 
wife Ramona of Bernice, David Abercrombie of Bernice and Paul Abercrombie and wife Lois of 
Bernice; mother-in-law: Billie Gates of Winnifield; brother-in-law: Robert Gates and wife 
Scarlett of Winnfield; and special friend: Becky Edwards of Bernice.
Pallbearers were Roland Austin, Charles Reeves, Robert Gates, Brian Norton, Jeff Funkerbunk and 
Shane Abercrombie.
Honorary pallbearers were Joe Reeves and Elvis Rogers.
