Funeral services for Mr. A.Y. Green, Jr., 52 of Taylor, TX were held Friday, July 9, 1999 at 
First United Methodist Church in Bernice with the Rev. Billy Minyard officiating. Interment 
followed in Bernice City Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mr. Green died Tuesday, July 9, 1999 following an automobile accident. He was active in the
car business for many years and was an avid outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Ripley Hayes Green.
Survivors include his daughters, Annie Green Wise and husband Toby of Thibodux, LA, and
Chance Francis Green of Lakewood, CO; mother and father, Sibyl Hayes Green and Alvin Y.
Green, Sr., of Bernice; brothers, Pepper Green of Bernice and Rocky Green and wife Mary
Kathryn of Charlotte, NC; grandmother, Leda Mae Hayes of Farmerville; nephews Dustin,
Will and Adam Green of Ruston and Austin,and Connor Green of North Carolina; uncles, Paul
Hayes of Farmerville and Barnes Hayes, Jr., of Oroville, Washington.
Pallbearers were Tommy Roberts, Danny Tettleton, Glenn  Tubbs, Randy Vickery, Hailard
Moore, Richard McLemore, Larry Woods and Dave McIntosh.
