GULLEY * Bernice Banner 6/04/1999 Services for Mr. Charles Homer Gulley, age 77 of Truxno, were held on Monday, May 31, 1999, at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Farmerville with Bro. Bill Bearden officiating. Interment followed at Springhill Cemetery in Oakland under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Famerville. Mr. Gulley died on SaturdayMay. 29, 1999, at his residence. A lifelong resident of Union Parish, Mr, Gulley was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Farmerville having served for many years on the church board. He also served on the board of the North Louisiana Farmers Co-op and Tri-Water System. Mr. Gulley was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Annie Gulley; brothers, Eugene Gulley and Fred Gulley; and sister, Iola Burnside. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Effie L. Gulley of Truxno; daughter, Charlene Foster and husband Jessie Foster of Dubach; son Robert Gulley and wife Diane Gulley of Truxno; daughter, Jennifer Wicker and husband James Wicker of Truxno; and daughter Susan Edwards and husband Jerry (Bo) Edwards of Farmerville; seven grandchildren who affectionately called him "Pop", Robbie Bowman and husband Hubert of Farmerville, Lori Gulley of Farmerville, Ashley Flurry and husband Phillip Flurry of Bernice, Amy Monk and husband Eddie Monk of Bernice, Amanda Wicker of Truxno, Danna Gulley of Truxno and Charles Edwards of Farmerville; and four great-grandchildren, Jessica Bowman and Nicole Bowman, both of Farmerville, and Lacy Flurry and Hannah Monk, both of Bernice. Pallbearers were Connie Ray Alford, Phil Middleton, Ronnie Holloway, Jamie Alford, Charlie Butcher and Benny Skains. Honorary Pallbearers were Harry Buckley,Benoit Holloway,Sr., Dick Dugal, A.C. Buckley and Zach Hodge. # # #
