Michael Wayne Barnes, Jr. Services for Michael Wayne Barnes, Jr., 17, of West Monroe, LA will be at 10 AM, Thursday November 2, 2000 at St. Paschal's Catholic Church, West Monroe, LA with the Rev. Mike Haney officiating. Interment will be in St. Paschal's Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Michael was born September 16, 1983 in Monroe and died Saturday October 28, 2000 near West Monroe as the result of an automobile accident. Michael was a junior at West Monroe High School where he was a member of the varsity football team. He was a member of St. Paschal's Catholic Church where he was a member of the Senior Youth Group. Michael was an avid sportsman, hunter, and liked to rodeo. Michael was an exceptional young man. In his 17 years he touched the lives of his family and friends and all he came in contact with. His smile (he was always smiling) lit up any room. He loved his family, he lived and showed it. There was always a hug and smile whenever he'd see his loved ones. Everyone loved Michael and when you were in his presence you felt his love. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Carol E. Townley, Sr. Survivors are his parents; Mike and Vickie Barnes; and sister, Carol-Ann Barnes all of West Monroe; grandparents Joyce Townley of Monroe; Elaine Barnes of West Monroe; Jack Barnes and wife LaVerne Swartz; great grandmother; Lois Beaird of Spearsville; uncles and aunts; Bill Barnes and wife Cathy; Dan Barnes and wife Jane, all of Spearsville; Kathy Harris and husband Chip of Monroe; Ed Townley and wife LaRhonda of Calhoun; Madison Townley and wife Leslie of LaPata, Maryland; Jason Townley of Monroe; numerous cousins, great aunts and uncles and friends. Pallbearers will be Bradley Hattaway, John Satori, Chris Ferchaud, Chris Harris, Phil Tolar, and Jason Hicks. # # #
