Funeral services for Amanda Jane Sherman Bolton, 80, of Bernice, LA were held at Friendship 
Baptist Church, Bernice, LA with Rev J.W. Braggs officiating. Interment was held at Friendship 
Baptist Church Cemetery, Shiloh, LA with services entrusted to Union Funeral Home, Famerville, 
LA
Amanda was preceded in death by her late husband, Reverend Clarence Bolton, two daughters Jean 
Evelyn Bolton and Patricia Davis, Mother and Father, three brothers, one sister, and one 
great-grandson Collin Young.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory ten children, four sons; Jethro Bolton, 
(Barbara) of California City, CA, James Bolton of Waynesboro, MO, Bobby Bolton (Dorothea) of 
Muskegon Heights, MI, and Kenneth Bolton (Pauline) of Lillie, LA; six daughters: Minnie Manager 
of Compton, CA, Shirley Talley (Joe) of Pensacola, FL, Betty Conway (Bob) of Detroit, MI, 
Veralyn Hubbard (Fred - deceased), and Beverly Anderson (Ceaphus) of Muskegon, MI, Karen Hall 
(Robert) of Bernice, La; twenty grandchildren ; thirteen great-grandchildren; three sisters: 
Alice Gitrey  and Larue Mosely of Galveston, TX nad Eunice Sherman of Bernice, LA; two brothers:
Paul L. Sherman of Bernice, LA, George Woods of St. Louis, MO; one special god-daughter Jordan 
Harps of Muskegon, MI, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
