CHLOE W. BURNSIDE

Chloe Webb Burnside, 85, of Spearsville, LA died Tuesday, March 7, in Ruston, LA.
Born September 18, 1914 in Laran, LA, she was the daughter of Abner and Elsie Miley McCormick 
Webb. She taught school for 34 years in the Spearsville School System, she was a graduate of 
Louisiana Tech University and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, a member of 
Louisiana Retired Teachers Association, and Pilgrim's Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She was 
preceded in death by her husband, David Prentice Burnside; her parents; and a brother, Raymond 
Webb.
Survivors include a son, David Mark Burnside of Spearsville; a brother Thurmon Webb of ElDorado; 
a sister, Olene Lyons Zimlech of Pharr, Texas; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Friday, March 10th at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church 
with the Rev. Leroy Jones officiating. Interment was held in Canaan Missionary Baptist Church 
Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
