Cannon, 91, of Junction City, LA were held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2000 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Junction with Rev. Marty Black and Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Cannon died Saturday, October 21, 2000 in Bernice following a brief illness. Mr. Cannon was born October 12, 1909 in Summerfield, LA. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Velma Amos Cannon; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Cannon of Bernice; a sister, Mrs. H. E. DeLand of ElDorado, AR; two brothers, Glen B. Cannon and Zalen Cannon of Bernice. Survivors include one son, Hermon Cannon and his wife of Mobile, AL; six grandchildren, Dennis, Toney, Brittany, Jamie, Shown and Baby; eight great grandchildren; sister, Loree Bumgradner of West Monroe; brother, John E. Cannon of Pasco; numerous nieces and nephews; one special nephew, Glen B. Cannon of Bernice and one special friend Barbara Cannon of Junction City. # # #
