		Mr. Leonard "Peddler" Poston

Spearsville, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Leonard "Peddler" Poston, age 91, 
of Spearsville, LA will be at 10 AM at Mt. Union Baptist Church in Spearsville, 
LA with the Rev. Forrest Post, Rev. Coy Upshaw, and Rev. Paul Northcutt 
officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of 
Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City. Memorials may be made to the donor's 
choice.
A life long resident of Spearsville, Mr. Poston was a member and deacon of 
Mt. Union Baptist Church. He also operated a vegetable stand at the church 
and ministered to many truckers with his little red bibles. He was preceded 
in death by his wife, Ela Elkins Poston. He died Sunday, May 21, 2000 in 
Shreveport, LA.
Mr. Poston is survived by two daughters and their husbands; Myrna and Jimmy 
Kelly of Shreveport; Delma and Floyd Edwards of Lindale, TX; two sisters, 
Norma McKinnie of Marion, LA, and Jewel Reames of Baker, LA; five 
grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Monday at Bailey Funeral 
Home-Junction City.
