Emma L. Rhodes, age 90 of Spearsville, LA died Tuesday, December 26, 2000 at
Tri Ward Hospital in Bernice, LA following a brief illness.  She was born in
Doyline, LA August 17, 1910.  She retired as manager of the cafeteria at
Spearsville High School.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen B.
Rhodes; a son, Bob Allen Rhodes; her sisters; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth.

Survivors are two daughters:  Margaret Hollis of Eugene, OR; Dixie Carpenter
of Memphis, TN; three sons: Roland Rhodes of Natchez, MS; Thomas G. Rhodes of
Davenport, IA; John R. Rhodes of Spearsville, LA; fourteen grandchildren; and
fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was the daughter of William M. Long and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Tabor.
