David Weeks officiating. "Vic" was born May 6, 1917 in Farmerville, LA and died June 11, 2001 in Alexandria, LA. A lifelong resident of the Bernice area, he graduated from Bernice High School. He was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army and received a World War II Victory Ribbon. After his discharge, he worked as a farmer, oil field worker, and as a deputy sheriff for Union Parish. He was a member of the Bernice Big Eight Baseball Team and consequently enjoyed watching and listening to area ball games. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish, hunt, and garden. He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Smith Albritton, his father, Rufus Henry Albritton, his mother, Ora Gustav Brazzeal Albritton, his brothers, Everett "Lefty" Albritton and Gordon "Buddy" Albritton, and his sister, Ethel Albritton. Survivors are his daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki Albritton Midyett and Bob Midyett of Richardson, TX; Joy Albritton Stephens and Robert Stephens of Pineville, LA; Patti Albritton Campbell and Gary Campbell of Diboll, TX. Survivors also include his brother and sisters, John Henry Albritton of Farmerville, LA; Darlene Albritton Ferguson of Ruston, LA; Frances Albritton White of Shreveport, LA and sister-in-law, Louise Key Albritton of Homer, LA. Also, granddaughters and spouses: Cathy Midyett Wiederecht and George of Plano, TX; Tammy and Chuck Cole of Coushatta, LA; April Stephens Bayham and Troy of Baton Rouge, LA; Leigh Stephens McDonald and Mark of Littleton, CO; Michelle Lynne Midyett of New York city, NY; Lauren and Lindsey Campbell of Diboll, TX. Great-grandchildren include Madison and Trey Wiederecht, Avery Bayham, Meghan McDonald and Brittony and Kassie Cole. Also, several beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Pallbearers were: Bob Midyett, Robert Stephens, Gary Campbell, Robert Lindsey Albritton and Johnny Albritton. # # #
