ETHEL B. CHERRY

Ethel B. Cherry, 75, of Spearsville, LA died Monday, July 16, 2001 in
Spearsville following a brief illness.
Mrs. Cherry was born September 19, 1925 in Spearsville, LA the daughter
of Jackson Alex and Etta Nelson Bennett.  She had retired as office
manager after forty years of employment with Lion Oil Pipeline Co.  She
was a member of the Gideon's International Auxiliary.  Mrs. Cherry was a
member of Spearsville First Baptist Church and attended the Bethel Baptist
Church in Lillie, LA.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husbands, William Travis Cherry and Henry Henderson, and one brother,
Harry Nelson Bennett.
Survivors include: one brother, John Rex Bennett of Spearsville, LA, and
a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 19, 2001 at 10 am at Bethel
Baptist Church, Lillie, LA with Rev. Marty Black officiating.  Interment
was held at Spearsville Cemetery in Spearsville, LA under the direction
of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR.
