ROBERT L. GREEN

Lt. Col. Robert Lee Green (retired), 73, of Vidalia, LA died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, 
in Ferriday, LA.
Born October 17, 1927, in Junction City he was the son of Joseph Thomas and Estelle Green.
He was a graduate of Military Institute in Alabama and the Citadel Military College in 
South Carolina. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1976 In War II, Korea and Vietnam. 
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Vidalia.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Ruth Green of Vidalia; a son, Joseph T. Green of Baton 
Rouge, LA; a daughter, Edna Mayfield Green of Shreveport, LA; a sister Clara Thompson of 
Junction City: and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at First United Methodist Church in Junction City. Burial was 
held in Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of 
El Dorado.
