MERALINE H. HUFFMAN

Funeral services for Meraline H. Huffman, 76, of Bernice, LA were  held at 2:00 p.m. 
Sunday, August 12, 2001 at First Baptist Church, Bernice, LA with Rev. David Weeks and 
Rev Mike Smith officiating. Interment was held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Bernice under 
the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Huffman died Friday, August 10, 2001 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She 
was a member of First Baptist Church Bernice and was a homemaker. 
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Thomas Huffman of Bernice; 1 son and 
daughter-in-law David Heard and Phyliss R. Huffman of Slidell; 1 granddaughter, Parris 
Noelle Huffman; 1 grandson, Kade Rockett Huffman; 1 neice, Nancy Coatney and 1 nephew, 
Jim Heard.
Pallbearers were Michael Lunsford, Richard Coatney, Jim Heard, Tommy Doyle Grafton, John
David Ragsdale and Eddie Paul Evans. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Mitcham, Billy Gray 
and W.C. Russell.
