Following obituary from the Bernice Banner

Lizzie B. Pennington

Lizzie Belle Pennington, 83, of Spearsville, LA died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, at
Junction City Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
Born April 13, 1917 in Spearsville, she was the daughter of James Jordan and
Margaret Mae Tucker Smith.  She was a homemaker and a member of Pilgrim's Rest
Baptist Church.
She was preceeded in death by her parents; her husband, John Otis Pennington;
two sons, John Oliver Pennington and Oscar Carroll Pennington; a daughter, Delta
Veola Dison; two sisters, Nezzie and Bessie Smith; and two brothers, John Lester
Smith and Troy Lee Smith.
Survivors include six sons, Doyle, James, and Lynn Pennington, all of Spearsville,
Dale Pennington of Ruston, LA, Jerry Pennington of Philadephia, MS, and Joe
Pennington of Calhoun, LA; two daughters, Dorothy Wright of Spearsville and Mary 
Dison of Homer, LA; two brothers, James and Tommy Smith, both of Spearsville; 27
grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
