Officiating was Rev. David Weeks, Rev. Donald Lemmons and Rev. Michael McIntosh. Interment followed in the Bernice City Cemetery, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Mc Intosh went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 14, 2003 in Bernice. Mr. McIntosh was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Bernice. He served as a Bernice Alderman for 20 years and was Mayor of Bernice from 1978 until 1998. Mr. McIntosh=s combined community service for the past 40 years included membership of the Boards of Directors for First United Bank. Tri-ward Hospital and BIDCO. He was a charter member of the Bernice Volunteer Fire Department, organized the first Boy Scout Troop in Bernice and had the honor of being inducted into the Corney Creek Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Loette Malone McIntosh of Bernice, daughters, Ruthie Nell Powell and husband Norman of Lexington, KY. And Caroline McIntosh of Houston, TX.; grandchildren, Clifton J. Gillum, Randal Scott Gillum, and Juliana Noe and husband Bruce, also numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Billy McIntosh, Billy O=Bannon, Joe Butler, Pete Odom, Harvey Marcus, Zeke Tettleton, Jay McCallum and M. F. Copeland. Honorary Pallbearers were: Dr. W. C. Reeves, Dendy Elliott, Dr. Pete Carroll, Dr. Robert J. Hall, Minor Patton, members of the Boards of Directors on which he served with and Town of Bernice Aldermen who served during his tenure.
