This is from the collection of the late Ora Ward Manning, 
mother of Peggy Rockett.  Hugh Barron died in April 1981.

Spearsville - Services for Hugh Barron, 77, will be at 3 p.m. today in New 
Hope Primitive Baptist Church with David Turner and Graydon Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Spearsville Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral 
Home of Eldorado, Ark. 
Mr. Barron died Thursday in Fort Worth, Texas, after a long illness.
He was born in Union Parish and was a retired merchant and former owner of 
Barron General Merchandise Store.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maggie Barron of Spearsville; a daughter, 
Charlotte Barron of Ft. Worth; his mother Mrs. Etta Barron of Bernice; four 
brothers, Rudolph Barron Clyde Barron both of Spearsville, Varner Barron of 
Farmerville, and Otto Barron of Minden, and a sister Mrs. Mary Gray of 
Bernice.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Barron, Lance Barron, Scott Barron, Ronald Foster, 
Donald Foster and Paul Mitchum.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.
