This is from the collection of the late Ora Ward Manning, mother of Peggy Rockett. Jimmy Barron died in February 1980. Jimmy Barron Spearsville - Services for Jimmy Barron, 75, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Camp Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in Spearsville Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Eldorado, Ark. He died Thursday in Tri-Ward Hospital in Bernice after a long illness. Mr. Barron was a native of Union Parish and a retired grocer and farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Norma Rissinger Barron of Spearsville; a son, Milton Barron of Baton Rouge, a brother, George Barron of Winnsboro; six sisters, Mrs. Ellene Coleman, and Mrs. Opel Smith, both of Eldorado, Mrs. Nattie Lou Smith, Mrs. Ela Powell, Mrs. Maxine Lee, and Mrs. Lilly Ogden, all of Spearsville; and four grandchildren. # # #
