                        Derward Boatright

Spearsville - Funeral services for Derward Denon Boatright, 55, of Houston, 
Tex., formerly of Spearsville, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Mt. Union 
Baptist Church near Spearsville.
The Rev. Forrest Post will officiate.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral 
Home of Farmerville.
Mr. Boatright died Saturday in his Houston home after a brief illness.
He was a native of Union Parish and he moved to Houston 22 years ago.
Mr. Boatright was also a pipe fitter, a World War II veteran and a member of 
the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Eula Denton, Haughton; two sons, Freddie 
Boatright and Randy Boatright both of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Linda 
Aubrey and Mrs. Beth McTaggart, both of Houston; two brothers, Delwyn C. 
Boatright, Hooks, Tex., and John Boatright, Haughton; a sister, Mrs. Wilma 
Springer, Bossier City; nine grandchildren.
