This is from the collection of Peggy Rockett. Dorothy N. Byram and James Keith Byram, Jr. Services for Dorothy N. Byram, 50, and James Keith Byram, Jr. 16, both of Bernice, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 26, at the First Baptist Church in Junction City with the Revs. Bill Platt, Willie Cottrell and Coy Upshaw officiating. Interment followed in Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Bailey funeral home of Junction City. Mrs. Byram died January 22 following an automobile accident. A native of Junction City, she had served as a teacher's aide at Cedar Creek School in Ruston for 10 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Junction City. She is survived by her husband, James Keith Byram, Sr. of Bernice; two daughters, Lisa Gay Lay and Deborah Jan Goocher, both of Bernice; two brothers, Ben Tucker of Yellville, Arkansas and O'Neal Tucker of Laredo, Texas; two sisters, Janet Rea of Lockhart and Helen Sterling of Little Rock; and one grandson, Christopher Lay of Bernice. James Keith Byram, Jr. died Friday, January 25, in a Monroe hospital. A native of El Dorado, he was an honor student at Cedar Creek School in Ruston. He is survived by his father, James Keith Byram of Bernice; two sisters, Lisa Gay Lay and Deborah Jan Goocher, both of Bernice; one nephew; and his grandmother, Irma M. Byram of Bernice. # # #
