Farrar, 65 of Spearsville, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 27, at 2 p.m. at Spearsville Baptist Church with the Revs. James Miller and Ron Sanders officiating. Burial followed in Union Grove Cemetery near Lillie under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville. He died last Wednesday at TriWard Hospital in Bernice after a short illness. A native of Union Parish, Mr. Farrar was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Spearsville Town Council. He was also a notary and member of the Spearsville Baptist Church. He was Justice of the Peace of Wards 3, 4, and 9. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edna Farrar of Spearsville; mother, Mrs. Mattie Farrar of Bernice; one son, Gary Farrar of Bossier City; four daughters Brenda Thomas of ElDorado, Kay Holmes of Homer, Glenda Hogan and Jerri Breland both of Spearsville; three brothers, Lee Odis Farrar of Bernice, Allen Farrar of Lillie, and Connie Farrar of Dubach; four sisters, Wilba Farrar of Lillie, Loddie Waite of Shreveport, Ruegon Dial of Hurst, Texas and Joan Farris of Bernice; 12 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Scott Beaird, Jeff Rockett, Monty Rockett, Ronnie Farrar, Ricky Farrar, Roger Farrar, Mike Farris, Joey Farris, Kenneth Paid Farris and J.D. Farris. # # #
