BLACK ROCKETT Funeral services for Bera I. Black Rocket, a resident of Baton Rouge since 1949 and a native of Anniston, AL, were held Friday, August 11th at 12:00 noon at Rabenhorst Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. C. Ferris Jordan officating. Interment was held in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Rockett Bridges, Brandon, MS; four sons, James L., B. Clyde, Jerry W. and Ted M. Rockett, all of Baton Rouge; a sister, Laura Etta Thomas, West Monroe; a half-sister, Alberta May McBee, Marietta, GA; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Walter (Fern) Harrell, Winnsbor, TX and Mrs. Arnold (Mildred) Thomas, Spearsville; 18 grand- children and 27 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rockett was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell B. Rockett; a sister, Beulah A. Taylor, two brothers, H. Brady and Robert Black; a half-sister, Bertha L. Hall; and two grandsons, Michael W. and R. Stephen Rockett. She was a faithful member of Cedarcrest Baptist Church. Mrs. Rocket was a former resident of Junction City for many years. She and her husband operated the Movie Theater. # # #
