Davis as principal and James R. McAdams as security, we are held and firmly bound unto THE STATE OF LOUISIANA, in the sum of One Hundred Dollars; and for the true and final payment thereof, we bind ourselves, our heirs administrators and assigns, and I do solemnly swear that I am not related within the degrees prohibited by law to the party who I am to marry. Signed and dated on this 25 day of Sept., A. D. 1908. THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH, That Whereas, A Marriage is about to take place between the above bound Jno C. Davis and Miss Nannie McGarrity and if there shall not exist any legal impediments why the marriage should not take place then the above obligation to be void; else to remain in full force and virtue, according to law. Davis and Miss Nannie McGarity agreeable to law and the usual forms and ceremonies of the State of Louisiana, in the presence of at least three male witnesses, residing within the said parish; and that you certify the same, signed by the parties and the witnesses, with your official signature, and the due return hereof make to this office within thirty days from this date. Given under my hand and seal of office, on this the 27 day of Sept. A.D. 1908. E. S. Ballard, Dy. Clerk District Court, Etc. State of Louisiana, Parish of Union I do hereby certify, That have, on this day, in pursuance of the foregoing License, celebrated and solemnized a Marriage between Mr. Jno. C. Davis and Miss Nannie McGarity agreeable to the laws and customs of the State of Louisiana. Nannie Maud was born December 14, 1888 and died August 21, 1955. She is buried in Spearsville Cemetery, Union Parish, LA. She was the daughter of John Richard and Nancy Ann Franklin McGarity. # # #
